Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

It is with this in mind that inspired Evan’s Art for Autism. Evan is the son of Bob and Karen McClintock of Lake in the Hills. Evan was diagnosed on the autism spectrum at the age of 3. He is now a funny, energetic, affectionate 10 year old, and though he is determined, he does struggle every day with simple things that most people take for granted. He does not see or understand things the way most people do, and to cope with this, he finds great joy in creating pieces of art. Art is sometimes his way of communicating, but also is his passion, his gift…a gift that he is happy to share with everyone.

Evan’s art will be beautifully displayed and available for purchase via a silent auction. The artist will also be on hand to meet his fans! Tickets will be sold in advance only for $30 per person, or $50 per couple and all proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks so come out and enjoy some great Hand Crafted Wine, Hand Crafted Beer and delicious food, and help out a very worthy cause.

To purchase tickets by mail, make checks payable to Huntley Jaycees, and include your name, address, phone number, and specify the time slot you prefer, and send to Huntley Jaycees, P.O. Box 1142, Huntley, IL 60142. You may also reserve your spot by phone or email by contacting Janet Westberg or Karen McClintock (847) 802-9280 or via email huntleyjaycees@gmail.com
